House History
Named for George Godfrey (1893-1944). Godfrey graduated from Iowa State in 1909 and had been a master farmer, an agricultural writer and a member of the Board of Education (now Board of Regents) before his appointment to the staff in 1933 as an assistant to the president in agriculture. In 1936, he was named director of agricultural relations.
