House History

During his 42 years at Iowa State F.E. Brown taught more than 40,000 freshmen students in chemistry and more than 500 graduate students. Although he was the author of texts and numerous technical papers and very active in community affairs, he was best known as an outstanding teacher of freshman chemistry.
