All residence hall, single rooms, suites and apartments for the 2024-25 academic year will be available to pick from starting this week! Starting at 9 a.m. on Feb 13 students currently attending Iowa State are able to select open spaces in Iowa State’s apartment communities. On Monday, Feb. 19, at 9 a.m. all residence hall rooms are open for selection.

Just log in to the Housing Portal to start the process.

What options do you have?

  • Frederiksen Court Apartments: Fully furnished (including washers and dryers) with all utilities included, Freddy offers the apartment life with a campus connection.
  • University Village: Low two-bedroom rates in our townhouse-style apartments.
  • Single Room: In Wallace Hall you get your own, fully-furnished room (including a micro fridge); kitchenettes on every floor; a commons that has pool tables, study spaces, and a fitness center.
  • Live the Suite Life: Buchanan Hall has single (your own room) and double (share a room) suites! It means two rooms share a bathroom making it the perfect place to still be part of a res-hall community but have your own space.
  • Residence Halls: Friends down the hall, fully-furnished, tasty food, no monthly bills, and there’s always something to do. You can pick any hall you want! Plus, as a returner to the halls, you can choose the smaller Campanile dining plan.
  • Meal-Plan Optional Rooms: Linden, Wallace and Wilson Halls each have kitchenettes you can use to do a lot of your own cooking.

Room selection proces closes Feb. 29 at midnight. Full details on the selection process can be found here. And remember, you can sign your contract, but cancel anytime up to March 1, 2024 without penalty.
