More Details Hanson House has a study room for group projects to sketch out assignments on the white board. The den has couches and chairs for you and your friends to hang out and talk about the Cyclone game, play a game of cards, or just relax. Each house’s bathroom has individual shower stalls that have a place for changing. A water bottle refill station promotes the Department of Residence’s green initiatives.

House History

Maurice Hanson received his B.S. degree in landscape architecture from Iowa State in 1928. He studied under a fellowship of the Foundation of Architects and was in private practice and in the National Park Service before returning to Iowa State in 1934 as an Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture.
