House History
Named for Paulus Lange (1891-1952). An Associate Professor of English, Lange was well known in Ames and Iowa for his many educational activities. He was president of the local chapter of the American Association of University Professors, president of the Ames Kiwanis Club, an officer in several educational societies and served from 1939 to 1949 as chairman of the Committee on State-Wide Testing of the Iowa Colleges Conference on English.
