If you live in an even-numbered room, your move-in day is Tuesday, Aug. 18. If you are assigned an odd-numbered room your day is Wednesday, Aug. 19. There’s no need to sign up, come when it works for you. If you can’t make it on your assigned day—don’t worry, you can come either day.

What to do on Move-in Day:

  • Follow the red directional signs to your hall. Don’t follow your GPS! The marked routes are the most efficient for move in.
  • When you get to your area, staff will provide you with a parking pass—good for 30 minutes.
  • Find a spot to park and start to unload. Please be mindful when parking larger vehicles and trailers and make sure you’re not blocking any entrance or pathways for others that are moving in.
  • Students: You will check in at a central location in your hall (see the chart below and locations will be marked with flags). Once you’ve checked in, go back to your vehicle.
  • Families and Helpers: Stay with the vehicle and begin unloading.
  • Use our Move-In Crew to help you carry your stuff to your room.
  • Once you’re unloaded, move your car to long-term parking. Free parking is available east of the ISU Alumni Center (Hilton Coliseum lot), at the Football Stadium or in the Wallace/Wilson lots. Paid short-term parking is available in campus parking ramps.
  • Inspect your room, unpack, set up your room, say hi to your new neighbors, and settle in!

Check-In Locations

You can pick up your check in packet at one of the location below. The packet will include your room key and bathroom key (if applicable) and a move-in booklet with specific information about your hall. Locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.
