More than just a floor

House History

Eliza Owens (1848-1932) directed the general course for women in domestic economy. Although her special interests were music and literature, which she had planned to teach, she showed remarkable adaptability and carried on with vision. She was an unusual and resourceful teacher during her term of eight years on the staff (1888-1896).
