SPRING 2021 Move In
Welcome to the Cyclone family and life on campus! Spring move-in is as follows:
- Review your room assignment and, if applicable, roommate information here.
- COVID-19 testing is required. CLICK HERE and follow the testing requirements. You MUST have an email from cyclonehealth@iastate.edu to show at check in in order to move in and get your keys.
- Arrive to campus anytime beginning Jan. 7, 2021. Move in continues through the first day of classes, Monday, Jan. 25.
Your Move-In Day
You can move in beginning on Thursday, Jan. 7 through Sunday, Jan. 24. When you arrive, just call the number posted on the door of your building. Staff will let you in, check your proof of test and issue your keys.
We do recommend trying your best to move in between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. If that is not possible, we understand and are able to help outside of those hours. Just follow the process above.
Move in is not available before Jan. 7, 2021. If you choose to move in on Jan. 25 or after, you need to email us at housing@iastate.edu to let us know when you plan to arrive.

Your Meal Plan
ISU Dining is the most delicious part of your adventure! If you live in a hall with the exception of Wallace and Wilson, you’ll choose one of these plans.
If you live in Frederiksen, SUV, Wallace or Wilson you’re welcome to choose any of the plans listed here or here. Plans are not required in these areas but many students do choose a plan because of the convenience and wide variety of options on campus.
Cyclones Care
Iowa State students have done an excellent job following our Cyclones Care behaviors to help keep our community safe. You’ll be expected to learn and follow these behaviors, too.
- Wear a face covering – anytime you leave your residence-hall room or apartment
- Maintain physical distance
- Wash or sanitize your hands often
- Stay home when you’re ill
Additionally, you should familiarize yourself with on-campus behavioral policies found here.
