One of the fundamental goals of Campus Life Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is to foster a sense of community/belonging for staff, including staff from diverse and marginalized backgrounds, within the Campus Life cluster area. In concert with the faculty/staff associations on campus, Campus Life Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will host a series of socials throughout the area to bring staff together, specifically, from the backgrounds listed above, to fellowship and foster a sense of community/belonging.

The inaugural LGBTQIA+/Staff of Color Affinity Group Social took place on September 28th in the Memorial Union Sun Room. Staff learned more about the Campus Life affinity groups, the Campus Life Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office, and fellowship with each other. Refreshments were be provided, courtesy of ISU Dining. More happy hour and staff socials will be announced at a later date.
