The purpose of the Campus Life Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Dialogue series are intended to provide information and access to university resources in an effort to foster a diverse, inclusive and equitable campus community, in alignment with the Principles of Community as well as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion goals within the University’s strategic plan.
We will host sessions for both students and staff (through partnering with the Department of Residence) throughout the academic year.
Spring 2022 Diversity Dialogues Series
This semester’s sessions will be held virtually through Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. A free meal ticket is available to the first 30 people that sign up for a session (see below for details). Topics and presenters for this Spring’s Diversity Dialogue Series are:
- March 1: How to Address and Navigate Diversity Burnout with Justin Roberson (CALS Student Retention Coordinator)
- This virtual session, facilitated by Justin Roberson, CALS Student Retention Coordinator, will focus on how to address, navigate, and prevent diversity burnout.
- April 19: Veteran Student Experience at Iowa State with Rita Case (Director of the Iowa State University Veterans Center)
- This virtual panel session, facilitated by Rita Case, will engage attendees in learning about the veteran student experience by discussing directly with military-affiliated students who have transitioned from the military to ISU.
