Students currently living on campus are able to sign a housing contract for next academic year (2026-27). Students can choose to retain their current room during this time. If students do not retain by February 8, their room will be available for others to select.

Students who sign after February 8 will have to use the selection process to select their current space if it is still available.

The room selection process will run Feb. 16-20 for students with selection times. Students who signed by the Feb. 8 deadline will be notified of their selection start time on Feb. 11.

All housing contracts through the Iowa State University Department of Residence are academic friendly, meaning you are not required to sign for a calendar year, and can be let out of your contract for academic-related reasons, like study abroad semesters or internships.
