Academic Success

The DOR seeks to promote an "academic living/learning environment" for students living in its facilities. Monitoring the academic progress of students in each living unit is one way of promoting their overall retention and graduation. Staff can offer additional support and resources where students are collectively not academically successful. Students, too, can measure their own success against the aggregate academic measure for their housing unit and that of others.

Midterm Grade Summaries

Midterm grade warnings are distributed by faculty to students whose grade would be an F, D, or C- in the course at that time. Some faculty also issue a midterm warning for students who are excessively absent from class. These midterm grades are summarized in aggregate form by housing unit (e.g., house, hall, apartment area) and provided to students and staff. Each report includes for each housing unit:

Fall 2008 Midterm Report
Fall 2008 Midterms for On-Campus Residents

Fall 2008 Midterms by House
Spring 2008 Midterm Report

Semester Grade Summaries by Resident Unit
