Richardson Court & Union Drive

Any enrolled incoming student direct from high school, current students, and transfer students 19 years of age and younger are eligible to live in Richardson Court and Union Drive.

Buchanan Hall & Wallace Hall

Buchanan Hall and Wallace Hall are upper-division student residence halls for new transfer students, single upper-class undergraduate students, and graduate students.

You must be either an enrolled second-year student (second year of attendance at ISU or a transfer student from another institution of higher education—new first-year students who have attained credits in post-secondary education are not eligible for upper-division housing) OR an enrolled student who is 19 years of age or older by August.

Special Housing in Buchanan Hall

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Learning Community

An exception to this eligibility requirement is made for any enrolled student, regardless of age or year in school, who is a member of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Learning Community.

Other Special Housing

To be eligible for the special housing area in Buchanan Hall reserved for graduate and older undergraduate students you must be either at least 21 years of age OR registered as a graduate student.

Frederiksen Court Apartments

Frederiksen Court is an upper-division student neighborhood for new transfer students, single upper-class undergraduate students, and graduate students.

You must be either an enrolled second-year student (second year of attendance at ISU or a transfer student from another institution of higher education—new first-year students who have attained credits in post-secondary education are not eligible for upper-division housing) OR an enrolled student who is 19 years of age or older by August.

SUV Apartments

#1 – For space in single student apartments at SUV:

You must be an enrolled student at least 19 years of age by August or a graduate or post-doc student. Mixed gender roommates are allowed.

Affiliated ISU Adult – A faculty/staff member may contract for an apartment at SUV when space is available. A non-student rate applies.

#2 – For space in family student apartments at SUV:

You must be married, in a domestic partner relationship, or have custody or visitation rights for children.

You must be enrolled at ISU, or a post-doc, to occupy an apartment during the academic year.

Affiliated ISU Adult – A faculty/staff member may contract for an apartment at SUV when space is available. A non-student rate applies.

Maximum Occupancy – No more than four (4) adult persons may reside in an apartment, for reasons of apartment size.
