Single Student Housing - University Village (UV) Apartments

UV is available to freshmen and transfers 19 or older, all continuing undergraduate and graduate students. ISU faculty/staff members may live in UV at a non-student rate.

UV is also the only single student location on campus to offer a mixed gender roommate option.

Apartment Types

Garden (one-level) and Townhouse (two-story) styles available.
Rent your apartments as private (by yourself) or shared (with a roommate).
All UV apartments are air-conditioned.
Most UV apartments are two bedrooms, although a limited number of one bedroom units do exist.
Apartments include: bedrooms, a full bathroom, living room and kitchen. Kitchens are equipped a 4 burner stove and oven and a full-size refrigerator.
Each UV apartment also has a front patio with an area suitable for planting a small vegetable or flower garden. The sliding glass door in the living room leads to a small back patio as well.

Furnished Options

Most UV apartments are unfurnished, except for kitchen appliances. However, a few furnished apartments are available at an additional cost. Furnishings include:

Pets

UV has designated a number of "pet friendly" apartments. Residents in these buildings can have aquarium fish and:

a limit of two caged pets (such as birds, hamsters, etc.), OR
one cat, OR
one dog.

Prior approval and a non-refundable pet fee must be received before your pet moves in. Please contact the SUV Community Center for the full Pet Policy and related forms.

Rent and Utilities - One of the lowest rates in town!

Rent is conveniently charged to your Ubill monthly and includes the following utilities: water, garbage, cable and high-speed DSL internet service. Electricity is billed monthly by the University and gas (for heating and cooking) must be contracted with Alliant Energy. A prepayment is required, but will be applied to your January rent.

Dining

Meal plans are encouraged, but not required in SUV. Many residents say they shop and dine at the Hawthorn Market and Café, located in the Frederiksen Court Community Center.
