- The Computer Science Learning Community on the ISU campus is organized to assist students of computer science in the transition from high school to university life. From the onset this community will support student engagement by providing a network of support generated via a composite program utilizing academic, residential and mentoring components. Types of programs offered are service learning, community services, cross-community interaction, and social activities.
The Department of Computer Science embraces its role in research and education in Computer Science to provide all interested students:
* A stimulating academic learning community that nurtures leading edge research and innovative education in Computer Science.
* An understanding of computation, information, and communication and the development of advanced information technologies.
* A strong math and science foundation to succeed in the area of Computer Science.
