FULLER, Almon H. (1871-1961) was professor and head of civil engineering from 1920 to 1938. He remained on the staff after giving up his administrative duties until 1957. He was an 1897 graduate of Lafayette College. In addition to a masterï¿½s degree he received two honorary doctor's degrees, one from Lafayette and one from Iowa State. His main field of research interest was in the field tests of buildings and bridges, the flow of concrete under continuous load and impact of highways. He was co-author of the book, Analysis and Design of Steel Structures, and also wrote a number of research bulletins and reports.
