Last year, nearly 75% of first-time, full-time freshmen participated in MAP-Works. MAP-Works is an online assessment tool offered by the Department of Residence and it’s designed to help students make a successful transition to Iowa State. This 20-minute assessment helps students see areas where they are transitioning well and provides resources to help them in areas where they may not be transitioning as well.
Data from last year shows students who participated in MAP-Works achieved a significantly higher GPA than those who did not.
Our mission goes well beyond providing a place for your student to stay and food to eat. Our goal is to provide a community that supports students’ learning and ultimately graduating from Iowa State. MAP-Works is one of the many resources we provide for student during their time at ISU. MAP-Works will be administered early in the fall semester. We encourage all new residence hall students to participate!
