Fall Move-In Information

We want your move to your on-campus assignment to be as fun and as simple as possible. Move-in day can be emotional and hectic so remember, patience, kindness, and flexibility are the keys to making move-in a success!

Step 1: Verify your assignment.

  • Once you're assigned, the details will be available for you to view in AccessPlus.
    • On the Student Tab, select Campus Housing and then the term. Your assignment will be under "My Assignment".
    • Selecting "More assignment details" will give you your hall, house, room number, room type, and your roommate(s) name(s).
    • Select "More roommate information" to find contact info for your roommate/s.
  • Review this information a few times throughout the summer, in case you or your roommate decides to change rooms.

Step 2: Review the Fall 2018 Move In Dates and Times.

With over 11,000 students living on campus, you can't all move in on the same day! You will be assigned a move-in date based on where you live and whether or not you're new or returning to ISU.

The dates below are when your move-in BEGINS. Come later if that's more convenient for you. Move-in continues through the first day of classes.
  • Move-In Crew will be here to help on Aug. 14 and 15 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Move-in won't start earlier than 8:00 am, so no need to get here early to "beat the rush".
  • New students will be mailed a color-coded parking pass for move-in on Aug. 14 and 15.
    • Didn't get your pass? Need to come a different day? No problem! We'll have plenty of passes available when you get here.
Do you ABSOLUTELY NEED to arrive before your move-in day or after the start of classes? If so, please view our information on Early / Late Arrivals.

Volunteers will also be directing traffic on Aug. 14 and 15. Traffic can be heavy at times but the system works smoothly with patience and cooperation
