While we make the Housing and Dining Contract available here for you to download and print, it is STRONGLY SUGGESTED that you submit your housing contract on-line using Access Plus. If you do submit a paper contract, due to the unpredictability of delivery services, the DOR can not accept responsibility for contracts delayed or lost in the mailing process.
The following documents establish the DOR Housing and Dining Contract. The Housing and Dining Contract is a binding agreement between Iowa State University and the contract signatory. Please note: beginning fall 2007, there is one set of Terms for the Housing portion of the Housing and Dining Contract.
Along with the Terms and Conditions, the Policy Handbooks are incorporated into Housing and Dining contract.
Please be aware that the Housing and Dining Contract is legally binding for the entire academic year – both fall and spring semesters. If you cancel you Housing and Dining Contract, cancellation penalties may apply. Please review the Terms and Conditions for more information.
Advertising in Residence Halls and Apartments
Campus organizations are encouraged to promote events, membership, and activities for their groups in the residence halls. This document lists the preferred methods of distribution and it is expected that groups utilize these methods. Please note: there is never a guarantee that your information will be posted or announced. Questions should be addressed to the Residence Life Office at (515) 294-6428.
Collection and Distribution Policy and Form for Residence Halls
Groups wishing to collect and/or distribute items through residence hall desks or mailboxes need to review this policy and complete the form on page two. We reserve the right to accept or reject a request for any reason. The decision will be based on this form as well as staff and space availability. Individuals interested in collection and/or distribution in Frederiksen Court or SUV may contact those community offices at frederiksencourt@iastate.edu (FC) or apartments@iastate.edu (SUV).
This form is used by organizations requesting the use of a space on campus for events such as: dance/concert/large events; events which include food, raffles, bake sales; a protest/rally fundraising events; informational or recreational activities, etc. You will receive consultation regarding any events. Residents under 18 who plan to bring a loft for use in their residence hall room must have a parent/guardian sign the loft waiver at check-in. If a parent/guardian will not accompany you to check-in, please print off this waiver, have your parent/guardian sign it and bring it with you to check-in.
Meeting Room Policy and Reservation Agreement Form
The DOR has several meeting rooms within the residence halls that are available for reservation at no charge. This policy governs the use of this space by DOR staff, student groups and University Departments. For more information or to make reservations call (515) 294-6428. Storage Policy and Agreement Form for Residence Halls
This policy provides storage guidelines for students moving into the residence halls during the academic year. The DOR attempts to offer residents storage options that are convenient and that meet the safety standards and operational needs of the department. The location of storage will vary from house to house and from academic year to academic year and will be dependent upon building configuration, academic year utilization, and planned maintenance and/or renovation. Student storage is not available in Frederiksen Court or University Village. Schilletter Village residents should contact the SUV Community office at apartments@iastate.edu for storage information and guidelines.
The Frederiksen Update newsletter is published bi-monthly to keep Frederiksen Court residents up-to-date on dates, deadlines, events, activities and other important information.
The SUV Commenter is the monthly update newsletter for residents in the apartments in Schilletter and University Villages. Interested individuals may submit items for publication directly to the SUV office at apartments@iastate.edu. Submitted articles are subject to space considerations and review by the editing committee.
