Summer 2012 Contracts and Assignments

We will begin making assignments in mid-April and will continue through the summer. Assignments will be available to view in AccessPlus the week of April 16, 2012.

Please Note: This assignment is not final until you check-in. The need for repairs / cleaning is not known until current occupants vacate. We may need to change your assignment. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Continuing Resident Contracts and Assignments

The week of March 5, all spring 2012 on-campus residents will be sent an e-mail regarding summer housing. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS MESSAGE. The e-mail will detail your current summer contract status and provide you additional instructions. Specifically:

If you do not submit a Summer 2012 Contract, an assignment will not be made for you. Generally, assignments are made according to the following criteria so that you will move as few times as possible:

New Resident Contracts and Assignments

New residents who want summer housing must submit a Summer 2012 Contract. When we receive your contract, we will send you a confirmation e-mail. Assignments are based on the date we receive your contract, the availability of space and your preferences which are considered in the following order:

  1. Roommate Requests. Roommate requests must be mutual and you must be eligible for the same type of housing. The earliest contract date is used to determine priority for the group.
  2. Single / Double as Single (DAS) Rooms. Single / DAS rooms are VERY limited. Having a single or DAS for summer does not guarantee same for fall. Extra furniture in DAS rooms will not be removed.
  3. Room Preferences. We ask that you list up to three (3) preferences.

Accommodations

If you require special housing accommodations, you must submit a Housing Accommodation Request Form in addition to submitting a Summer 2012 Contract. If you have a documented disability, it is your responsibility to contact the Disability Resources office for assistance with accommodations other than housing.

Cancelling Your Summer Contract

The 2011-2012 On-Campus Housing Terms and Conditions also cover summer 2012. Please note: The Summer 2012 Contract is for a space only and specific assignments cannot be guaranteed. Cancellation Deadlines are as follows:

All cancellations must be in writing (e-mail is acceptable) and must include your full name and University ID. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted.
