Get Involved

Almost all new students at Iowa State University are involved in residence halls or Greek houses (fraternities and sororities). And, some even participate in both! There is no better way to get involved in and acclimated to Iowa State than through our strong residence and Greek systems.

Living on Campus

On-campus living provides many conveniences and benefits not found anywhere else! If you're interested in living on campus in one of the residence halls or on-campus apartments, please consider completing your housing application as soon as possible. The earlier you return your contract, the more likely you will be to receive your top residence hall preferences.

Greek Living

Almost all women who join a sorority live in residence halls during the first year, while most men who join fraternities move directly into the fraternity chapter houses. If you are considering becoming a member of a fraternity or sorority and plan to live in the Greek chapter house next year, it is very important that you be aware of the cancellation policy for university residence hall and apartment contracts.
